Installing or updating Obba for OpenOffice/LibreOffice I get "Could not create Java implementation loader". How can I fix this?

Obba requires Java to be activated in OpenOffice/LibreOffice (and other variants of OpenOffice). In case to you encounter this error try the following:

• If Java is not installed, you need to install it.
• Go to the LibreOffice/OpenOffice preferences (on OS X: LibreOffice -> Preferences, on Windows: Tools->Options...) and go to the Java (OpenOffice) or Advanced (LibreOffice) section. Enable "Use a Java runtime environment" and select a Java runtime below.
• If Java is enabled in LibreOffice/OpenOffice preferences then disable it. Close LibreOffice/OpenOffice. Then try to re-enable the setting again.
• Swtich to a different Java Runtime Environment in the LibreOffice/OpenOffice preferences, e.g. Java 7. (Note: it appears to be that Java 8 is currently (April 2014) not working as a JRE in LibreOffice.
